Inspired by the relaxing holiday atmosphere of Sydney's outdoor pools, Massage by the sea was launched in 1998. Massage by the sea is Sydney's oldest outdoor resort-style massage therapy centre. A massage on the decks of Wylie's Baths has become a much-loved local tradition in Coogee.

When booking a pregnancy massage please let us know how many weeks you are pregnant, so the therapist can prepare the appropriate cushioning for your treatment. 1st trimester pregnancy massage (first 13 weeks) is not available at Wylie’s Baths.

Online: Check availability and book here
Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your treatment to allow for parking and fill in a new client card.
Please wear or bring your bathing suit to your appointment. If you have a swim, please ensure that you rinse and dry yourself prior to your massage. You will always be professionally draped during your treatment.
The outdoors treatments take place out of the sun under a marquee, on the deck overlooking the ocean. As you enter Wylie’s, turn left and you will find us at the far Northern end of the deck.
If the therapist is busy with another client, please do not disturb them.
Please take a new client card from the table and fill it in before your treatment.
We would like to say that our massages will happen rain, hail or shine! And often, even with a little light rain, we can manage this with some sheltering and extra draping. However, in the case of extra windy or cold weather, we will contact you to re-schedule your treatment to our indoor centre where possible or to another time outdoors. MBTS reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to weather conditions at our discretion.
Treat a friend to spiritual, mental and physical healing with a Massage by the Sea gift voucher. You can purchase gift vouchers over the phone, on the net, at our Clovelly Indoor Centre, or at Wylie’s Baths Kiosk (cash only at Wylie’s Baths). We can send the vouchers either to you or directly to the recipient of your gift, by email or via Australia Post.
All practitioners at Massage by the sea are fully qualified and accredited Remedial Massage Therapists holding a Diploma of Remedial Massage (DRM). In addition, many of us have qualifications in other modalities including sports and fitness, nutrition, and yoga therapy. We provide treatments that are both relaxing AND effective in relieving pain and discomfort.

Tineke’s longstanding interest in health, food, emotional & physical wellbeing and spirituality were the drivers behind the decision to start studying Kinesiology, 10 years ago.
Living on a small farm in hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Tineke experienced an awakening (became aware) of the power of a healthy mind/body/spirit connection.
In the years that followed, practicing Kinesiology, Tineke discovered that the missing link in her practice was Massage therapy and added Cert IV few years ago and has just finished her Diploma in Remedial Massage.
Tineke is passionate about combining Ancient Eastern Wisdom, used in Kinesiology, and Contemporary Western Health Science used in Remedial Massage.
Tineke’s consistent levels of dedication and genuine care will guide every client toward a more balanced unity of mind, body and spirit.
